A Couple More Important Life Lessons

A Couple More Important Life Lessons

Over the years, these life lessons have saved me! They’ve given me courage when I lacked it. They’ve picked me up when I was down. They’ve supported me as I created a better life than I could ever have imagined.

#4: No Failure; Only Valuable Learning Experiences

Failure is an illusion that makes you feel incapable of achieving your objectives. Perhaps what you tried didn’t meet your expectations. But that’s simply data—not failure.

It’s time to put on your thinking cap and ask yourself: Where did things start to go wrong? How could I have modified my approach to get different results? What did I miss?

Keep thinking: What did you learn? What other options could you explore? Who could give you some additional insights? You have lots of resources available to you.

Finally, it’s time to tackle the challenge again—this time with the newly updated plan. Remember to keep learning! That’s what you’re here for.

Life Lesson #5: Build a Community

Going it alone is tough. Growing and expanding your capabilities when you’re by yourself isn’t easy. Search for a community that focuses on your area of interest.

Or, if they don’t exist, create your own. I’ve done that many times. It may feel awkward at first, but I can guarantee that the pay-off is well worth it.

Get to know the other members. Plan time together. Share your stories. Ask for ideas. Have fun together.

Supporting each other’s initiatives is life-giving. You’ll feel better because your ideas will help others succeed.

At the same time, you’ll be getting what you need to achieve your objectives and become the best version of yourself. That’s life-giving.
