Braver Angels runs workshops, debates, and other events where "red" and "blue" participants attempt to better understand one another's positions and discover their shared values. I went to my first meeting 3+ years ago, was impressed and have followed their work ever since.

If you’re over 60, check out this site. They’re focused on building a community of experienced Americans who are determined to change the world for the better using their life experience, skills and resources to build a better tomorrow. They’re all about taking action.

If you’re unfamiliar with FairVote, check it out. They’re the driving force behind ranked choice voting—a way to give us more choices, fairer representation and a better government. Alaska and Maine have adopted it for national elections; so have many cities.
